HeartWorm Free was studied for use as a heartworm preventative for 4 years, before being sold as a heartworm preventative. ALL of the dogs in the test studies tested negative for heartworm every month while using the HWF preventatively for heartworm.

HeartWorm Free is made without Wormwood and Black Walnut. Wormwood has been known to depress the central nervous system and can cause mind-altering changes leading to psychosis when used over long periods of time (usually months). Black Walnut was found to be a high allergen causing hives and other types of allergies. With this information, Amber Tech developed HWF that (in the long run) may be more beneficial to your dog for heartworm prevention.

HeartWorm Free is a natural herbal remedy that contains organic herbs:

• Garlic ~ Helps repel parasites, anti-microbial, stimulates immune system, antioxidant, lowers blood pressure, and overall tonic.
• Black Seed ~ An overall tonic herb known for its effectiveness on the respiratory system, stomach, intestinal tract, kidney, liver, circulatory and immune system. Anti-parasitic.
• Licorice ~ Supports lung tissue, blood cleansing, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, stimulates immune system (immunostimulant).

HeartWorm Free Recommended Use:

Please note:    A syringe is included with each bottle of HeartWorm Free, along with instructions on HWF administration. HeartWorm Free has a 4 year shelf life.

Recommended Use: Shake well before use. Administer the appropriate dose in number of ml's as determined by the above weight-based chart once daily. HWF is best absorbed in the mouth, so it is recommended to dose directly into the mouth and not be given in food. Do NOT give on an empty stomach. Do NOT exceed recommended dose! Do NOT use in conjunction with a heartworm preventative or flea/tick preventatives, as these things toxify the kidneys, liver, blood, and body, which suppresses the immune system.

Be sure to weigh your dog before starting the HeartWorm Free.

Recommended Canine Heartworm Preventative Use:   Shake well before each use.  IF in a highly infested mosquito/heartworm area (Eastern United States), give HWF once a day every other week (full 7 day week). Use the same amount as on the chart above based on the weight of the dog.

IF in a low to average infested heartworm area (Western United States), the HWF heartworm preventative protocol is to use the HWF once each day during the 1st week (7 full days) of each month. Use the same amount of HWF as indicated in the chart above based on the weight of the dog.

Weigh Your Dog or Puppy Regularly:   It is EXTREMELY important to make certain your dog is getting the proper HWF preventative dose, based on their weight. We recommend weighing dogs that are close to the top of their dosage weight range and growing puppies at least once/week and once they reach the next weight level dosage, start them on that proper dosage immediately. Failure to do this can result in effectiveness of the HWF for heartworm preventative purposes. So, please, weigh your dog or puppy regularly to make sure he or she is getting the proper dose of HWF.

Recommended Use for Pregnant Dogs:   HWF is safe to give to pregnant dogs at one-half (1/2) the normal dose while pregnant and then giving the full dose once her puppies are born.

Continue to take your dog to a veterinarian twice/year to make sure your dog is heartworm negative.

HWF as a Preventive

Step 1 - Your Area
Determine whether you live in a highly infected area or a low infected area.Click here to view the Heartworm Incidence Map to help determine the type of area you live in. A highly infected area would be an area that has 6 to 25 or more incidences per clinic.

• If you live in a low infected area, continue to Step 2A.
• If you live in a high infected area, please continue to Step 2B.

Step 2A - Low infected area
If you live in a low infected area, administer the HWF one time a day for the first seven days of the month. Dose according to weight using the above chart. It is recommended to discontinue HWF during winter months ONLY if the temperature remains below 50 degrees F.

More Natural Flea, Tick, Mite, Fly, and Other Insect Preventatives and treatments:

Warning:  Keep out of reach of children.   Do NOT give to cats.   Apricot pits contain small amounts of naturally occurring cyanide.    Do NOT use in conjunction with a traditional heartworm preventative or flea/tick treatment.    Do not give products containing Ivermectin while treating with HWF. Watch for allergic symptoms such as hives, trouble swallowing and swelling around the eyes. If one is experiencing any adverse symptoms or notes any adverse signs, then cease using this product & immediately contact your nearest emergency medical system. The use of Adizone in the presence of endocrine pancreatic dysfunction (e.g. diabetes mellitus or acute infectious pancreatitis) and evidence of liver disease is a contraindication due to the presence of ethyl alcohol in this product. Alcohol may be removed by protocol (for every drop of Adizone, add 1 drop of hot water and let cool).

SUGGESTED USE WHEN TREATING MORE THAN ONE PET:

***When treating more than one pet with the same dropper, it is necessary to assure sterile administration without carry over from pet to pet. The best way to assure this is to use the dropper only to transfer product to an individual sterile oral syringe, using a different syringe for each pet. (This method will also reduce the chances of product contamination.) Those syringes should be sterilized after each use. Each pet should have its own syringe that is not shared with another pet.
