How can I tell the difference between kennel cough and the canine flu?

Kennel cough is a bacterial infection and exhibits a dry hacking cough. The canine flu symptoms are similar to kennel cough except the canine flu is a virus and canine flu dogs exhibit a discharge from the eyes and/or nose, along with a wet cough.

The canine flu can turn into pneumonia very quickly if not treated. They have found that not many antibiotics are effective on the canine flu. If you are using an antibiotic on your dog and it continues to worsen, it may be because the antibiotic is ineffective towards the canine influenza virus.

Because these respiratory infections are of a different source and not enough studies have been performed, they need to be treated differently. We suggest using the Kennel-Koff for pets with kennel cough and the Pet's Cough and Cold Formula for dogs who have the canine flu. We have found the Pet's Cough and Cold Formula to be highly effective against the canine flu. If your pet has developed pneumonia, we suggest giving Vibactra Plus in addition to the Pet's Cough & Cold Formula.

Pet's Cough & Cold Formula is an all natural herbal remedy that contains human grade quality herbs:

• Thyme - For sluggish digestion, a good cough remedy, promotes expectoration reducing unnecessary spasm, antioxidant and antiseptic properties.

One bottle of Pet's Cough & Cold Formula will treat approximately 3 medium size dogs and 4 adult cats. Pet's Cough & Cold Formula has a shelf life of 4 years (longer if kept in a cool dark place).

PET'S COUGH & COLD RECOMMENDED USE

**For larger animals, add an additional 5 drops of the Pet's Cough & Cold Formula for each additional 100 pounds of the animal's body weight to each dose.When dosing horses, elephants, and larger animals.

Suggested Use:

Shake well before use. Select proper dosage of Pet's Cough & Cold Formula from the chart above. Give orally 4 times daily for up to 10 days. To use as a preventative, if your pet has been exposed, give Pet's Cough & Cold orally 2 times daily.

If your pet continues to worsen after 10 days of using the product, we recommend taking your dog or pet to your Veterinarian for further diagnosis.

Cautions:   Keep out of reach of children. Do not give to pregnant animals. Watch for allergic symptoms such as hives, trouble swallowing and swelling around the eyes. If one is experiencing any adverse symptoms or notes any adverse signs, then cease using this product & immediately contact your nearest emergency medical system. The use of Pet's Cough & Cold in the presence of endocrine pancreatic dysfunction (e.g. diabetes mellitus or acute infectious pancreatitis) and evidence of liver disease is a contraindication due to the presence of ethyl alcohol in this product. Alcohol may be removed by protocol (for every drop of Pet's Cough & Cold, add 1 drop of hot water and let cool).

SUGGESTED USE WHEN TREATING MORE THAN ONE PET:

***When treating more than one pet with the same dropper, it is necessary to assure sterile administration without carry over from pet to pet. The best way to assure this is to use the dropper only to transfer product to an individual sterile oral syringe - using a different syringe for each pet. (This method will also reduce the chances of product contamination.) Those syringes should be sterilized after each use. Each pet should have its own syringe that is not shared with another pet.
